Annual Overview
August – October – On Field Evaluation Phase
October – November – Strength / Agility Phase – foot speed can and will improve!
*to include a minimum of 4 consecutive weeks of “ball down” period.
December – Intense Long Toss / Hitting Phase
January – Pre-Season Phase (Specific by position)
February – May – In-Season Phase (Difficulty of schedule is among tops in state!)
June – Stony Point Summer Baseball
June-July – Summer Training Program (speed and weight)

Academic Expectations-

- ’04 graduating class had a combined average GPA of 90!
- 1 Academic All-State player on ’08 team.
- 3 Academic All-State players on ’05 team.
- 3 Academic All-State players on ’04 team.
- 3 out of 20 ’08 players (15%) earned Academic All-District honors.
- 6 out of 21 ’07 players (29%) earned Academic All-District honors.
- 6 out of 16 ’06 players (38%) earned Academic All-District honors.
- 9 out of 20 ’05 players (45%) earned Academic All-District honors.
- 8 out of 18 ’04 players (44%) earned Academic All-District honors.
- 10 out of 21 ’03 players (48%) earned Academic All-District honors.
Promotion to Colleges-
- A comprehensive individual electronic report is sent to every college in the state of Texas for every varsity player. Additional reports are sent upon the players request to any out of state school. Information in the report includes: address, phone number, e-mail address, height, weight, class rank, test scores, GPA, positions, varsity stats, baseball honors received, and coaches comments. Athletes may provide an official transcript to be attached to report.
- 46% of graduated Stony Point Baseball players to date have participated in some level of college baseball. (29 out of 63)
Noteworthy-
- 6 former Stony Point baseball players either have served or are currently serving our country in the military.
