Special Thanks for a great 2008 Tiger Cubs Program
Please note a special thanks to all those involved in the 2008 version of the Stony Point Tiger Baseball Cub program. As recognize the end of the fifth successful season of this incredibly positive cooperative effort, please take a moment to enjoy the benefits of the program. Whether you are instrumental in passing and gathering information, organizing and planning events, or trusting these high school student-athletes enough to share your children with them occasionally – you should be pleased with the results of our program. Our players genuinely anticipate the interaction with “their Cubs” at home games and most definitely consider their role model status on a regular basis throughout the season.
I am so grateful that we decided to add the Tiger Cub program to our baseball program at Stony Point. The fact that we are pairing high school student-athletes with elementary students in a fun and meaningful way is priceless. At any one of the times our players and “their Cubs” interact, the smiles I see on the faces of everyone involved are precious! What a deal! Thanks to everyone for making it happen.
Parents of Cubs, please send me a note if you have any suggestions as to how we may be able to improve the program. We will begin planning the 2009 version of the Tiger Cub program in the Fall of 2008. Signups will take place in early January. Please do not hesitate to send me an e-mail so your son or daughter can be included.
